Surigao to Siargao ferry price
The Surigao to Siargao ferry price depends on how you book your tickets.
As there are a limited number of ferries per day, and only one company operating this popular route, I would recommend booking your tickets online in advance.
By booking online in advance you can expect to pay roughly $10.00 for this journey.
Ferry from Surigao to Siargao with Evaristo & Sons
Everyday @ 4:00 | 6:00 | 10.00 | 15:30
If you decide to book at the port, the price works out cheaper. Booking tickets directly at the port costs 500 PHP ($8.50).
However, as the Surigao to Siargao ferry is a journey that frequently sells out, this is not an option I would recommend.
Bear in mind: we did not book our tickets online and decided to book at the port directly. We arrived for the 10:00 AM ferry but it was sold out, so we had to wait in the ferry port for 5 hours for the 3:30 PM ferry.
Save yourself the hassle and book your tickets in advance here.
How long is the ferry from Surigao to Siargao?
The ferry Surigao to Siargao travel time is roughly 2 hours.
However, if you opt for the early morning RORO ferry, this will take about 4 hours.
What’s RORO? Roro means roll-on roll-off. This means that as well as passengers, the ferry is also suitable for cars.

Getting to General Luna
When visiting Siargao, the most travelers stay in the tourist hub General Luna. This is where you will find most of the main accommodation, restaurants, surfing and nightlife.
Whether you arrive at Siargao Island by flight or ferry, you will need to get from the airport/ferry port to General Luna.
Arriving by flight
Arriving at Sayak Airport is super straightforward.
You will be approached by drivers outside the airport offering rides to your accommodation in General Luna by van. It is kind of like a shuttle service.
- Price: 300 PHP ($5)
- Time: 45 minutes
If returning to the airport, talk to your accommodation and they will be able to book the return van journey in advance for you.
Visit the main Siargao highlights including the Maasin River, Sugba Lagoon, Magpupungko Rock Pools, and Coconut Viewdeck.
All entrance fees, a private guide, and roundtrip transport to your accommodation included.
Arriving by ferry
If arriving by ferry, you will dock at Dapa Port.
The best way to get from Dapa Port to General Luna is by tricycle. Try and find some people going in the same direction to split the fare with.
This is one of my top tips for saving money when traveling.
- Price: 400 PHP ($7) split between 3
- Time: 20 minutes
Note: I heard that there is a bus/jeepney from Dapa Port to General Luna which runs every day until 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, we arrived too late, but it is worth asking at the port.
