What is curfew in Siargao?
I am not sure if there is a specific curfew in Siargao.
However, parties generally start and end earlier. Most places close at midnight to avoid noise disturbance.
If you’re like me and can’t accept when the party is over, then be sure to check out Cantina Luna.
This Filipino restaurant is open till 3 AM and turns into a bit of an ‘afters’, so it is a great place to continue socializing.
However, always try to keep noise to a minimum and always be respectful of the neighbors.
Note: El Nido and Moalboal also boast buzzing nightlife scenes.
What is the best time to visit Siargao?
The best time to visit Siargao is in the dry season, from March to October.
This is peak season in Siargao and you are (almost) always guaranteed a lively atmosphere and beautiful weather.
If you are a keen surfer, then the best time to visit would be August- November, which is the best time of year for catching those waves.
Whilst Siargao is hot all year round, the rainiest months are December and January.
However, this is a tropical island so always expect the unexpected. I visited in April and we had a few days of heavy rain.
Is Siargao expensive?
Siargao Island is not an expensive destination for backpackers to visit.
Whilst at first the prices of accommodation and restaurants can seem a little higher than other islands in the Philippines, Siargao has so many options for affordable restaurants and hostels.
The bars and alcohol are reasonably priced and usually have Happy Hour deals.
The main activities and tours are not expensive and can even be done DIY with a scooter to save you some pennies.
Coming from someone who likes to party every night, my budget was about $30 a day including everything.
